Data Central Bank FAQ

1) How will the data-backed currency Wallys be distributed?

Wally currency is non-token-supply-capped and distributed daily based on geographic baselines, data model weighting, privacy preferences, and minimum platform engagement thresholds. Rates will be adjusted periodically to reflect evolving market conditions.

2) Who adjusts the rates?

A global governing body will determine rates and thresholds. The conversation for interested stakeholders takes place publicly at Tree of Wally Org, in advance of the launch of the governing entity. Interested in joining the conversation? You may reach out to me directly via the contact info on my profile.

3) What is the goal of rate adjustments (aka monetary policy)?

Monetary policy aims to achieve a stable value for Wallys. As the network grows, the value of Wallys is expected to increase, albeit at a diminishing rate. A stable value for Wallys improves the likelihood that Wallys will be used for commercial trade.

4) In what geographies around the world will Wally be distributed?

The Tree of Wally is a global utility. It will offer data banking and ecosystem services wherever technology, regulatory, and practical constraints meet minimum standards.

5) Why are Wallys worth anything at all?

Priced-user-generated-content (PUGC), sponsored posts, promotions, and ads within the ecosystem may only be purchased in Wallys. PUGC may include short-texts, articles, photos, albums, videos, libraries, songs, playlists, podcasts, etc. We hope for content on the web today (ie on Netflix or The New York Times) to be priced in Wallys too in the future.

6) Why will businesses or tech platforms accept Wallys for goods and services?

To purchase data & ads in the Tree of Wally ecosystem, businesses need to pay in Wallys. Businesses will prefer purchasing data & ads within the Tree of Wally ecosystem because doing so improves the investment attractiveness of corporations. Specifically, Tree of Wally enhances company Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) profiles, which are used by investors to evaluate worthy investments. Plus, working with the Tree of Wally increases disposable incomes of consumers while building brand loyalty. For tech platforms like Facebook, Snap and Amazon, Tree of Wally sustainably and responsibly enhances their responsiveness to their constituents and ameliorates public criticism of big tech.

7) How will you abide by regulations in the USA, Europe and around the world?

We plan on investing significantly and working with strategic partners to meet global regulatory requirements.

8) Will people who use Tree of Wally need to stop using Facebook, Instagram, Snap, YouTube, Google, TikTok, etc.?

No. While people will only meet daily minimum engagement thresholds for activity within the ecosystem, we will not limit peoples’ freedom to use platforms of their choice.

8) How much will the average USA citizen earn each year for their data?

The first person on our platform will earn Wallys that are worth very little to nothing at all. As the network grows, Wallys will increase in value, albeit at a diminishing rate. If Tree of Wally’s ecosystem grows to the size of Facebook’s (either organically or via partnerships), I estimate average USA citizens will receive $1,000 to $10,000 per year in purchasing power, almost exclusively in the form of Wally currency.
